The purpose of this course is to encourage student  success in the understanding and building of a wood frame structure.



This course presents safe and effective construction techniques with hand and power tools.

It also includes floor, wall and roof framing, exterior wall finishes, and roof applications.


Realistic hands-on work experience will be provided for students. Students will learn professional attributes such as team work, trust,  following instructions. Identification, terminology and correct use of materials.



The student, upon completion of the course, will be able to continue in the trade through further education, apprenticeship, or entry-level construction employment.
