Nicole Magnan Caruso, M.Ed., has dedicated her life’s work to helping students discover themselves, build community with others, and find connection with the natural world through the joys and challenges of outdoor education. Her passion for the outdoors has guided her professional path as a trail crew leader for the Student Conservation Association, a faculty member in the Department of Health and Kinesiology at Texas A&M University, and as director of the outdoor programs at both Unity College and Colby College. She holds a master’s degree with an emphasis in outdoor education.
Ms. Caruso enjoys all kinds of outdoor adventures but especially loves backpacking, sea kayaking, trail building/maintenance, and wilderness survival skills. Additionally, she specializes in integrating yoga and wilderness experiences. She is the lead author of the textbook and audio CD “Yoga for Students” published by Kendall-Hunt.
